Watch: Semi Driver Jumps Through Fire after OH Crash

March 18, 2025
When the rig hit a median barrier, the fuel tank caught fire, Akron firefighters said.

A semi driver jumped from his cab as an intense fire burned around the rig on I-77 near Akron.

The truck had hit a median first.

“The impact also caused a rupture of the passenger side fuel tank which also ignited, the fuel that is. It caused the fire to spread beyond the area of the truck itself," Akron Fire Lt. Robert Langston told WOIO.

The driver wasn't hurt.
